Now night curfew in 18 cities only, will be effective from 10 am instead of 9

GANDHINAGAR: The state government has started giving relief when the corona infection is under control in Gujarat. Till now night curfew was in force in 36 cities but from now only 18 cities will have night curfew. 18 cities have been exempted. Night curfew has also been reduced by one hour. Now night curfew will be applicable from 10 am to 6 am instead of 9 pm.

The decision was taken in the meeting of the core committee chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Under which there will be night curfew in eight municipalities of the state and 18 cities including Vapi, Ankleshwar, Valsad, Navsari, Mehsana, Bharuch, Patan, Morbi, Bhuj and Gandhidham along with other restrictions.

It is mandatory for operators, owners and employees doing business activities in these 18 cities to take the vaccine by June 30. At the same time, restaurants and hotels in these cities will be able to remain open till 9 pm with a capacity of 60 percent. Home delivery can be done till 12 noon. Up to 100 people can be present in marriage ceremonies. 40 people will be able to be present in the funeral and burial method. Socio-political functions and religious places can have fifty percent of the hall’s capacity and a maximum of 200 people. The libraries have been approved with sixty per cent capacity.

Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) buses with a capacity of 75 per cent have been exempted. Park-Garden will be open till 9 pm. Cinemas, multiplexes, auditoriums of the state will be able to open with 50% capacity

In the core committee meeting, Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Energy Minister Saurabh Patel, Minister of State for Home Pradeepsinh Jadeja, Chief Secretary Anil Mukim, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister K. Kailasanathan, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department Pankaj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister M.K. Das, Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Manoj Agarwal, Health Commissioner Jaiprakash Shivhare and many senior officials were present.
