NEW DELHI: IT firm Spyrant Communications today said it has teamed up with Geo Platforms to test its cloud-based 5G standalone core network for real-world workload and data transmission conditions.

Spirent said in its statement that Geo has used its Landslide platform to perform core network capacity tests, measure device data throughput, and create a variety of complex end-user call models and mobility scenarios.

Landslide is a golden reference globally to validate 5G core networks for efficiency and efficiency, enabling us to successfully validate every aspect of the 5G stand alone core network. Peter Tan, vice president and general manager of Asia Pacific, said that Geo needed to validate its internal 5G core network functionality while supporting the interfaces of the LTE 4G and IP multimedia subsystem used to provide all Internet-based services.

“Landslide provided an ideal solution for this by supporting interfaces across the 5G core,” he added.

Jio has licensed 5G tests in Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat and Hyderabad. The telecommunications company led by Mukesh Ambani achieved data speeds of more than 1 gigabit per second during testing, Geo partner NXP Semiconductors said.
