Padma Shri awardee Sudarshan Patnaik attempted to build the world’s largest sand art chariot at Puri beach. He made 3D sand art of Lord Jagannath’s chariot (Nandighosh Ratha), which is 43.2 feet long and 35 feet wide.

Sudarshan tweeted, “On the occasion of Rath Yatra, we have made the largest 3D sand art chariot of Nandighosh Rath of Lord Jagannath 43.2 feet long and 35 feet wide at Puri beach in Odisha. We hope this will be a new record.”

Significantly, Sudarshan has many Limca records including Guinness records in his name.

So far Padma Shri awardee sand artist Sudarshan has participated in more than 60 international competitions and festivals across the world and won many awards for the country.
