MUMBAI: Jio has revolutionized mobile phone data by offering low-cost 4G smartphones. Speaking at the 44th annual meeting of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani has announced that the Android smartphone named ‘Geophone Next’ has been jointly developed by Geo and Google teams and will be available in the market on September 10th.
The smartphone market in India is becoming more and more affordable and low budget smartphones. Knowing this market strategy, Jio is now gearing up to launch the phone at a lower price.
Mukesh Ambani said that it will be the cheapest smartphone not only in India but in the whole world. Speaking on the occasion, Google CEO Sundar Pichai said that the smartphone was built in India and would open up new possibilities for the first time to millions of new internet users.
