CHHATTISGARH: 91-year-old sprinter Milkha Singh has reportedly fallen ill. He had a fever on Thursday night and his oxygen levels were also low. Milkha Singh was re-tested for corona on Wednesday after his report came back negative. After which he has been shifted from the ICU of Covid Hospital to the ward of the Medical ICU. Meanwhile, news has come out that his health has deteriorated again some time ago.
All the senior doctors in the hospital are monitoring their health. Doctors said that Milkha Singh has become very weak. On May 17, Milkha Singh’s cowardly report came back positive. He was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali after his health deteriorated. His condition was improving after treatment, after which he was discharged from the hospital on May 31. After the discharge, he was resting in his house in Sector-8 following the rules of Covid.
However, on June 3, his condition suddenly deteriorated and he was admitted to PGI after his oxygen level dropped. He has been undergoing treatment here ever since. When he first tested his covid on June 8, his report came back positive. He was subsequently tested on June 16 and tested negative. He is still in the medical ICU. Milkha Singh’s wife Nirmal Kaur died at the Fortis Hospital in Mohali last week.
