NEW DELHI: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday launched a two-day tour of India’s frontline naval bases in Karwar and Kochi .

The Indian Navy is carrying out one of the most important shipyard expansion activities in Karwar, Karnataka . Upon completion of its development work, it will boast one of Asia’s largest shipyards. Rajnath Singh to review

Progress The aircraft carrier will begin operation by the end of this year or early next year.

“I am leaving New Delhi for a two-day visit to Karachi and Kochi . I am going to review the ongoing infrastructure development work in Karawara and the progress of the construction of the Domestic Constructed Aircraft Carrier (IAC) in Kochi. I am looking forward to this visit, ”Rajnath Singh tweeted.
