DELHI: Australian women’s team head coach Matthew Mott has said that lack of match practice ahead of the upcoming home series against emerging superpower India could leave them vulnerable. Both the teams will play three ODIs, three T20Is and one Test match in Australia from 19 September to 11 October.

“India is a rising superpower in cricket,” Mott told ‘cricket.com.au’. He has a great player and is a tough opponent.

He said, “At the moment he is playing in England. We can be a little weak because we haven’t played that much cricket recently. After the series against England, the Indian team will go to Australia.

India’s Shefali Verma, Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur will also play the first season of ‘The Hundred’ tournament. Australia, on the other hand, has not played cricket since April. Nine out of ten of his players also withdrew from ‘The Hundred’.
